Flower drum song rating mpaa2/20/2023 Somehow the musical band ABBA was able to take all their disco hits from the 70s, make up a plot to connect all the songs, and create a muscial smash hit out of it. Gay Factor: 9 Kid Factor: 4 Lay Factor: 8 Art Factor: 3 The DVD is a good way to kill time when you’re babysitting! It is a good way to introduce kids to musical theater also…it’s short enough in length where kids with limited attention spans can still digest the entire show! Mamma Mia! There are very catchy tunes from all genres from country to Elvis to Techno. This was Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first musical score (he also did Phantom) from 1969, and the score was revitalized/re-arranged in 1982 and again in 1993. This a very family-oriented musical based on a couple of paragraphs out of Genesis in the Bible. Gay Factor: 2 Kid Factor: 9 Lay Factor: 4 Art Factor: 8 Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat It is however a great DVD movie for a pre-score movie date night to help heat up the date. If the Kid Factor is high, it is because I’ve successfully tested the movie version on my two little daughters. This is analagous to a movie’s MPAA “G” rating. KID FACTOR: This show is appropriate for viewing by children under age 12. GAY FACTOR: Tell your male buddies how much you like this show and you will be profiled as being a homosexual…not that anything is wrong with that. (Scale of 1 to 10…1 is less likely, 10 is most likely) If you want me to analyze your personal favorite musical, tell me the title and I’ll add it to this list!
